KollaGen II-xs is hydrolyzed to break down collagen fibrils into peptides that are more easily absorbed amino acids. Undenatured collagen that is not hydrolyzed has a molecular size that is too big to be absorbed or taken up into the body.

Clinical research

Study participants experiencing joint discomfort consumed 1500 mgs of KollaGen II-xs daily for 30 days. Validated measures for pain and physical function were used to range of motion, general discomfort, and muscle strength. In addition, the study showed a normalizing of saliva pH levels that are often indicative of a reduction in inflammation.
